Good food. Service is not bad, but could be better. The waitress reached across my wife's plate, to pick mine up. Priced very reasonably. Overall, it was a good experience.

It was awful. My sister didn't get her toast until we were done eating. I will not go back or tell anyone else to go there Most of her order was wrong

I don’t really understand why this has so many positive reviews, honestly. To start off, the salad bar looked like it had not been changed with fresh selections for hours. Everything was oxidized and dried up, looked inedible. I had the country fried steak, and even from the appearance of the meal I could tell it was not going to be good. The gravy had dried up to the point that it looked like it was sitting under a heat lamp for 40 minutes. The meal was not hot, it did not taste fresh, it did not have a pleasant flavor over all. My favorite part of the meal was the beverage.Finally, the service was rather poor. Not very busy, didn’t see many faces. However, the few that I did, they genuinely looked as if they did not want to be there. Really, everyone there, including the customers, seemed rather standoff-ish. I did not enjoy this town, the people, nor this food. Hope to never have the displeasure of being there again.

This is diamond in the rough! Great country cooking. Salad bar was phenomenal and everything tasted fresh. We chose this place as a half way point for meeting family from Northern Kansas and were not disappointed. Would definitely come here again!!

Stopped in for lunch today. I had a small chicken and noodles and grilled cheese, my husband had small beef stew and grilled cheese. The chicken and noodles were good, the beef stew had 1 piece of beef in it. He said it had good flavor though. The grilled cheese was nothing to write home about. Probably won't order that again.

Friendly service, good portions, fair prices, excellent salad bar, and parking. The atmosphere here is very cozy it was a nice place to stop off the highway. Comfort foods.

Probably my favorite resturant of all time. I live in Fort Riley, Kansas and ALWAYS stop here on my way to visit my parents in Fort Scott, Kansas. The staff are just the sweetest, the atmosphere of this place, just good ol' Midwestern hospitality! The food is to die for!

Really good home-style cooking! The chicken and noodles were the best I have ever eaten. HOME MADE PIES and HOME MADE CINNAMON ROLLS yum! Super nice staff also! Enjoyed our meal.

There is normally that place in a small town that is the go to place...this is it. Went to Nathan Boone site just up the road and after a hike...it was time to eat. Great little stop and very nice staff to treat you like family.

I Highly Recommend had the Breakfast Buffet food didn't taste like Buffet food it tasted like Grandma cooking and the Cinnamon rolls were Priceless Great service good prices I will definitely be going back !!!!

Great home style food

I stopped for dinner on my way through town. The chicken and noodles were good, the salad bar was great, and the service was good. A great experience. I might rearrange my travel plans in the future to stop again.

Nice family restaurant

Have eaten here a few times over the years. Last trip to Eureka had the cold roast beef sandwich and my family the salad with chicken. All really good. Oh , and get cinnamon rolls. They are the best.

Great food. The home made cinnamon rolls are awesome. Very affordable breakfast buffet. The. Staff is very friendly and offers excellent service. Can’t go wrong stopping by here. Some great items to try are the chicken and noodles, cinnamon rolls, KOTE sandwich (a very unique chicken sandwich, ask where it got it’s name) and the salad bar. They have plenty of seating and parking too.

Food wasn't prepared correctly and came to my table cold.

Not a friendly comfortable place, negative energy in the air. Food is just ok. Couldn't tell if I was eating in a restaurant or a clothing/candle shop.

It is a small town restaurant with comfort food. The salad bar is great. The menu rarely changes though and it is very dated.

Just ok Excellent Salas bar, got chicken fried steak it was like rubber and had to send it back and got to hear employee complain about the next day was the owner Cindy birthday and how unpleasant she was to deal with. Not good when employee's don't want to deal or service the owner. Not sure I will go back
